What we’ve learned shooting 1+ weddings here.

Hazelnut House calls itself a boutique hotel and event venue, in the hamlet of Girsterklaus in Rosport-Mompach. Celebrations use two restored 19th-century farmhouses — Maison 2 and Maison 5 — with gardens, orchards and views over the Mullerthal valley.

For the photography it means one place from morning to night: the ceremony under a stretch tent on the lawn, dinner under the timber roof of the barn, and the wheat field behind the house at sunset. Ten rooms sleep up to twenty-five, so the people closest to the couple stay the night. The house takes destination weddings of more than a hundred guests.
