What we’ve learned shooting 1+ weddings here.
Girsterklaus is a small pilgrimage chapel on a hill in the commune of Rosport-Mompach, in the east of the country above the Sûre. It is a place for the church ceremony, not for the reception — the celebration happens elsewhere, and the drive between the two is part of the plan.
What the hill gives is the view: the ceremony ends, the doors open, and the portraits are made right there with the valley behind the couple.
We photographed a wedding here in July 2026.
