Vianden sits 310 metres above the Our river valley. The view from the chapel windows is the kind of frame that doesn't need editing. We have shot ceremonies here in mid-August at golden hour with the entire Ardennes valley going amber below.

The castle rents out the grand festival hall and the knights' hall for celebrations of 40 to 220 people, booked through the castle itself. Allow extra time in the production schedule — the access road has a switchback that wedding transport needs to plan around.

For couples coming in from outside Luxembourg, Vianden also has a strong "guest hotel" infrastructure within walking distance of the castle, which makes the late-evening reception logistics simpler than at most châteaux.
