Getting married in Trier (Standesamt — Turm Jerusalem)
The one registry near Luxembourg that marries couples with no local residence — on selected Saturdays too. The ceremony room in the eleventh-century tower seats about twenty; everyone else waits on the Domfreihof, and Porta Nigra, the cathedral and the Hauptmarkt are a two-minute portrait walk away.
