Getting married in Differdange
Differdange is one of the few communes that publishes Saturday wedding dates a year ahead — which is why a Saturday ceremony here is possible at all, and why the dates go early. The second thing to know is Lasauvage: the commune marries in the village as well as at the town hall, and the two are a ten-minute drive apart, so the timeline has to account for the move.

How to get married here, step by step
Check your date here →- One of you must be legally resident in this commune — residence decides where you marry, not preference.
- Contact the civil registry early to agree on the date and the list of documents.
- Hand in the complete file no later than one month before the wedding.
- The banns are published for 10 days; after that you have 12 months to marry.
When ceremonies take place
Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays — plus a published list of Saturday dates through the year. At Lasauvage the weekday slot runs 15:00–16:30.

A residence certificate is required for a spouse who has not been domiciled in Differdange for at least six months.
